Principal's Message
It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Riverside Middle School! My name is Manuela Lopez, and I have worked in our great district for the past 32 years in different capacities. First, as a teacher at SBHS, and then as assistant principal and principal at different elementary schools. I have to say that I am thrilled to start this new school year at a secondary campus. I can’t wait to see the students of RMS in our hallways or competing in extra-curricular events.
I truly appreciate RMS administration for transitioning me into this new position and working alongside with me to ensure the academic success of our students. My goal is to continue the great work RMS administration and staff have done by keeping systems and procedures in place for as much as possible. Changes that do occur will be campus needs or due by the development of the pandemic.
I believe that by creating and maintaining a competitive school in academics and extra-curricular programs, we will be making our school a top performing campus for the students we serve. Together as a family and team, we will work toward these goals because our students deserve it! I embrace this new challenge and look forward to serving you and the learning community of our school!
